Vancouver, BC, April 13th, 2017 - Segra Biogenesis Corp. is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Ying Ng as Laboratory Manager for their Genotyping and Molecular Services Laboratory.

Ms. Ng obtained her B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University, followed by the Registered Technologist (CSMLS) program in Clinical Genetics from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Ms. Ying worked as a clinical molecular and cytogenetics technologist at various positions within the BC Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) for 12 years. Her duties there included assisting with assay development through testing and validating to meet CAP and DAP accreditation requirements. In addition, she obtained formal certification in biobanking and led biobanking efforts for the BC Cancer Agency and Vancouver General Hospital by coordinating with stakeholders to streamline procedures, improve workflow processes, and implement appropriate database systems. In 2013 she completed her M.A. in Leadership from Trinity Western University. Most recently prior to joining Segra, her role in PHSA was as a lab manager where she oversaw facility planning of laboratory space, acquired capital equipment, and ensured proper resourcing of multiple projects. Ms. Ng's skills in molecular techniques, laboratory management, and biobanking will help ensure Segra's molecular lab and strain identification program are run to the highest possible standards.

Segra is building a Cannabis brand based on standardization, product quality, sound science, and integrity. Segra defines medical Cannabis as product manufactured under a strict Quality Management System, to ensure product safety, repeatability, continuous quality improvement and end-to-end quality control. For the California market, Segra has designed a cultivation facility that is capable of producing standardized Medical Cannabis and a Medical Cannabis Tissue Culture Nursery capable of producing over six million plantlets per year. In Canada, the Company is an ACMPR applicant with Health Canada for a federal license to grow and distribute Cannabis.
